Where can I fill up with petrol?
There are a few petrol stations in Himeville and Underberg, once you go up the pass the next petrol station is in Mokhotlong - 1hr and 30 minutes from the chalet

Do I need to book for lunch and how much does it cost?
Unless you are a large group, you do not need to book. Lunch prices range from about R25-R50. Lunch is available from a small menu from 11.30am to 3 pm. You are not permitted to take liquor across the border into Lesotho. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express credit cards and cash. The local currency, Maloti, is on par with the South African rand.

Do I need to bring my vehicle papers for the border post?
No, it is not necessary.

Are quad bikes allowed?
Yes, but please avoid riding them on any of the wetland areas

June, July and August

No, only a valid passport is necessary, a temporary one is also fine.
